WOKSSA Outdoor Adventure Activities Educational Day 2007
Updated: October 27, 2008 9:24 AM

The Tunbridge Wells Schools Sports Partnership and Bedgebury Pinetum held an Outdoor Adventure Activities Educational Day on Tuesday 9th October 2007. 70 children from three different schools attended the rain drenched day but fun was had by all! The three schools comprised of Lamberhurst, Benenden, and Headcorn.

Groups of children took it in turn to move around three different stations testing their teambuilding, communication and awareness skills. Weather made the festival difficult for the children but they did not let it affect their tireless hard work and effort. The day was a great success and the children had a lot of fun in an environment that was unfamiliar. All participants had some time with the Bedgebury team where they were educated about the surroundings they were in.

A huge thank you must go to Kath, David and their team at Bedgebury Pinetum for all their hard work in preparing the activities and allowing us to use this brilliant local educational facility. Also thanks must go to all the TWSSP leaders, teachers and other adults for sticking out the rain and keeping spirits high throughout the day!

Due to the day being educational based, we did not have an overall schools winner but we did have a small inter group competition during the day where each team could gain points for completing and attempting all of the stations. The following is a table of points scored for the day.
