Before the start of the competition, staff from the Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership explained the rules of the sport and provided a demonstration of how it should be played and scored. Players had an opportunity to practice throwing the stones before taking part in eleven matches against teams from other schools. Judges recorded the final score of each game which was then taken to the main scoring table and added to the final standings.

Well done to Frittenden B who scored 35 points and took away this year’s WOKSSA New Age Kurling trophy. John Mayne and Benenden B were close behind but Frittenden were able to hold off the competition with a good finish in the last two ends.
