On Thursday 31 January, 216 individuals making up 18 teams from local schools attended the WOKSSA Sportshall Athletics Festival. The festival was split and run on two separate sites; Homewood School, Tenterden and Cranbrook School. Cranbrook. Colliers Green, Staplehurst, Frittenden, Headcorn, Sissinghurst, Benenden, Goudhurst, Hawkhurst, Lamberhurst, Sandhurst, John Mayne, Tenterden Juniors, St. Michaels, Woodchurch, Rolvenden, Pluckley and Wittersham all took part in the competition.

Teams of twelve competitors; six girls and six boys from years five and six took part in the event. Each participant competed in one field event and points were awarded to their overall team score. Once the field competitions were over, students had the chance to rotate around and have a go at other events. These included standing vertical jump, standing long jump, standing triple jump, chest push, javelin and speed bounce. All teams then competed in a relay and times were recorded and again points awarded to each team.
