The children played some extraordinary basketball and there were numerous great baskets scored. After all the round one matches, the central scorer announced the finalists and the court was set up for the big show down. All the other teams surrounded the courts with their parents to cheer on the finalists.

Staff from TWSSP officiated all matches and ensured the tournament ran smoothly from start to finish. Tenterden Tornados representative Ben Pattenden attended the festival where he was able to talk about his club and the chances of joining the local basketball team.

Final

Children from all teams sat around the edge of the court cheering on the two finalists which were Tenterden A vs. St Michaels A, a local derby! The game was a closely fought battle with both team coming close and many changes rolling around the rim of the hoop and dropping back into play. After 6 nail biting minutes it was Tenterden A who came out on top winning by the smallest margin of 1-0. Teams shook hands at the end of the game with the crowd making plenty of noise in appreciation of the great game they witnessed.

Congratulations to Tenterden A who won the WOKSSA competition.
