The 2006 Tri-Golf Festival was hosted by Biddenden Golf Club on Thursday October 5. This was only the second time that the event had been run and the number of players increased by a huge amount from 31 to almost 100 pupils from 8 different schools; Benenden, Colliers Green, Marden, Woodchurch, Staplehurst, Cranbrook, Lamberhurst and Wittersham.

Players rotated around skills stations in their teams to test their chipping and putting skills. Players even had the opportunity to play a couple of holes from the par-3 course. Despite the very wet weather, the event was a huge success and players thoroughly enjoyed playing on a real golf course!

The scoring became incredibly difficult due to wet paper and pens so for this year it was agreed that there would be no overall winner. Woodchurch were awarded the Fair Play Trophy for their excellent effort, enthusiasm and behaviour throughout the Festival.

A huge thank you goes to Michael Sainsbury from Biddenden Golf Club for his hard work in preparing the course and allowing us to use his fantastic facility.
