WOKSSA Kwik Cricket Festival 2007

On Thursday 24 May, Cranbrook Cricket Club hosted the 2007 WOKSSA Kwik Cricket Festival. In total, 16 teams from 14 different schools competed for a place at the County Finals in Canterbury on Sunday 1 July.

Teams were placed into groups of four in the initial round and played each other in a mini-league format. All matches were 8 overs per innings with one innings per team. Round One Fixtures and Results (The winners are shown in bold type)

Within these new groups, teams played a semi-final match each (A v B and C v D). The winners of these semi-finals from each group played each other in a group final. The losing semi-finalists played each other in a 3rd / 4th play-off match.

Winners
Congratulations to Marden (264/2) who beat Staplehurst (223/5) in the festival final. Marden will now represent WOKSSA in the Kent County Kwik Cricket Finals at Canterbury on Sunday July 1.
Benenden were awarded the fair play trophy.
