WOKSSA Indoor Athletics Festival 2007

On Thursday 7 December, 174 individual stackers making up 43 teams from 12 different schools attended the second WOKSSA Sport Stacking championships at Angley School – A Sports College. Benenden, John Mayne, Cranbrook, Colliers Green, Goudhurst, Headcorn, High Halden, Lamberhurst, Marden, Sissinghurst, Woodchurch and Wittersham all took part in the competition.

WOKSSA Indoor Athletics Festival 2007

Teams comprised of eight competitors; one girl and one boy from each Year Group 3-6. Each participant had the opportunity to take part in a combination of the following field events; standing vertical jump, standing long jump, seated throw, agility ladder, foam javelin, speed bounce, standing triple jump, ball push to score points for their school. All teams then competed in a Year 3 & 4 Relay followed by a Year 5 & 6 Relay to conclude the event.

The competition was extremely close with only 21 points separating the top 5 teams. Congratulations to Tenterden Juniors who performed consistently well throughout all of the events and claimed the trophy for the second year running.
