On Thursday March 23, Staplehurst Golf Club hosted the first ever Tri-Golf Festival. The event was attended by teams from Benenden, Colliers Green, Staplehurst, Marden, and Wittersham. Some of the students were already keen golfers but for some of them this was their first taste of the sport.

Teams took part in 8 different skills stations which challenged their putting and chipping ability and at the end they had the opportunity to compete individually in a longest drive challenge.

Sports Leaders from Angley School and Homewood School helped by running and scoring the circuit of skills stations.

Richard Silman and Scott Stevens; professionals from Staplehurst Golf Club, also attended the festival to offer their expert advice to the students. Staff from the club also did a great job feeding everyone on the BBQ!

The winning team was Colliers Green who top scored with an average of 212.8 points/player.
