Logo Competition
Updated: February 28, 2008 5:10 PM

Brief: Design a logo for the Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership which dynamically reflects our vision to develop and promote high quality PE and School Sport across the partnership. The logo should include the abbreviation ‘TWSSP’.

Objective: To provide the TWSSP with a logo which can be used on all correspondence, including the partnership’s letter head, website, newsletters and banners at events.

Entry: Entries will be judged in two categories – KS1/2 and KS3/4 + Sixth Form. Winners and runners up from each category will have their designs show cased on the partnership’s website. Category winners will each receive £25 in sports vouchers, with the overall winner receiving a pair of tickets for a major sporting fixture or event.

Results: We had a fantastic response to the logo competition, with over 120 entries from schools across the partnership. Huge thanks go to the pupils from St Matthew’s CE Primary School, Claremont Primary School, St Mark’s CE Primary School, St James’ Junior School, Wittersham Primary School and Broomhill Bank School for taking part and creating some wonderful logos, making it a very difficult competition to judge.

The following pupils received a ‘Very Highly Commended’ for their logo designs in the KS1/2 category:

After careful deliberation and technical support from a local graphics designer, it was decided to adapt one of our winning entries to enable us to use the design for all correspondence and artwork. We sent Lucy Bryant’s logo design into a local graphics workshop and asked them to use the ideas to create a suitable logo for the partnership. Lucy’s amended, competition winning design can be seen below. It will now be used on the partnership’s website, letter heading, newsletters and event banners. She will also be receiving a pair of tickets to an upcoming sports fixture. Congratulations Lucy!
