The pupils from Oakley School have enjoyed a fun packed week of different activities to celebrate sports’ week.
On Monday morning Tim Luck brought senior pupils from T.W.G.S.B to the school where they set up a series of Tri- Golf activities for all pupils in years 2 – 6 to have a go at. The TWGSB pupils were excellent with our youngsters, showing patience and enthusiasm to encourage our youngsters to be successful.

On Tuesday the whole Primary site visited the Hop Farm where each class participated in a sporting activity of their choice. Year 5 worked on striking and fielding skills in particular and were very successful in playing rounders.

The School is indebted to the Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership for their contribution of £200:00 towards the cost of the visit. Without this financial support it would have been very difficult for the trip to have gone ahead.

On Wednesday all pupils at the school had the opportunity to play cricket, football, watch a gymnastic display and try out some floor work for themselves. They tried their skills at karate, swimming and took part in a multi-skills session in the afternoon.
The final activity on Friday was a fun – packed Sports’ morning with all the parents watching. What a week!!
