On Friday 30 June, 32 primary schools and 8 special schools contested the Finals at Aylesford Rugby Club. The Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership had 3 representatives in the Finals; Colliers Green (England 1) won the WOKSSA festival earlier in the year and Claremont (Scotland 1) and St Augustines (Ireland 2) had shared the trophy at the Tunbridge Wells event.

Claremont and St Augustines have both performed extremely well in recent years at the Finals and both were confident that they had a chance of winning the 2006 Cup. St Augustines were beaten by Swanley in the 2005 Final while Claremont have been very consistent winning both the Cup and the Plate since 2000 and also finishing as overall Runners-Up prior to that.

St Augustines and Claremont had a very successful day and although neither of them could quite make it to the Final, it was a very strong performance from both teams. Colliers Green will hope to return to the Finals again in 2007 and the additional experience they now have of competing at this level will certainly be of benefit to them. Congratulations to all of the teams for their fantastic efforts and for the way the players conducted themselves throughout the day. They were a credit to their schools and the Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership.
